Hello friends! It’s the weekend once again (now didn’t this week just zooom right by?) and I thought I’d share a lovely little find that we stumbled upon last weekend so the rest of you will have something to do this weekend. Okay, so we didn’t stumble upon it, we made a very conscious decision to drive all the way out to the middle of nowhere to pay a visit to this place – but it was well worth the hike and I’m so glad we got a chance to meet Belle and Cheu and learn about their amazing venture.

The brilliant brain children behind Like That One decided that it was high time someone brought a little boho, vintage, california chic to our staid, over industrialized, hyper modern little red dot. They also thought it might be a good idea to offer folks looking for good design something outside of the ridiculously overpriced designer pieces and the mass produced stuff you get over at IKEA, and they’ve done a splendid job at it!

Belle and Cheu describe their offerings as “a well-curated mix of vintage, re-imagined and cool new pieces,” the space is piled to the ceiling with rehabbed pieces from the 60s, 70s and 80s lovingly restored and given a new lease on life with a fresh coat of paint, new upholstery and other creative additions such as unique knobs on drawers sourced from around the world.

If you do venture their way, you’ll find that the dynamic duo double up as hostesses with the mostess(es) – they’re more than happy to sit down and chat over a can of coke about individual histories of the various pieces and their buying trips from around the globe. Makes for a wonderful way to spend a Saturday!

In the event you need a little more convincing to make the trek out there (I’ll admit it’s no mean feat), take a peek at what’s newwhat they’ve done before, and other finds below
