The cheese platter at Jones is always a winner on afternoons when you just want to take it easy, kick back with a glass of vino or a cup of coffee, and enjoy the company you’re in. They’ve got a decent selection of artisan cheeses sourced from around the world at wallet-friendly prices that come with a range of accompaniments such as crackers, saucisson, and fig jam. I’m a big fan of stinky blue cheeses, and Jones has got a few good ones.

For a really comprehensive selection of cheeses, head across the road to Culina – they source and supply cheese to the majority of fine dining establishments in Singapore so there’s no question about the quality, but be prepared to pay a wee bit more.

On an entirely random note, the company I was in was in a pair of preppy red shorts with puppies on them. Do you not love? I love.
